The National Sports Centre is in the capital of the Isle of man.

Kings Bowling Club, Torquay
Scenes involving a brass band marching up and down a bowling green (bear footed despite the cold although that won't appear on screen!) were filmed at Kings Bowling Club, Torquay, renamed as the Royal Torquay Bowling Club for the occasion. Thanks Dave for your submission.
