STORYLINE SYNOPSIS |
Adapted from the play by Jeff Noon. Set in the future, during a time of
war. Four woman are recruited by the government to settle on a remote
island controlled by the British. There they will become long term
companions for the soldiers stationed there. The island is not paradise
though, locked under tight military rule the solders are lonely and battle
scared. Hopes for peace and colonisation may be a dream.
