I well remember David's visit to Australia in the 90's with the late Danny
Shimmin, Steve Murry and maybe another. Dave broke the crankpin on the Arter
Matchless at Phillip Island and a competitor with a light plane flew to
Wangaratta Ken Lucas home and got a spare crank and flywheels to get him going.
He put on a good show with he and Bill Horsman (Manx Junior Classic winner)
swopping the lead endless times with Horsman taking the honours in the feature
race. Then went to Mallala Sth Aust. If Dave reads this I was the rider in
demo's on the ex Fergus Anderson Moto Guzzi Albatros which I subsequently
swapped with Arthur Wheeler for his Mkviii KTT on which I won the Vintage Junior
Oz champ in 2000 and 2nd in 2002. Thanks to Bruce for this submission (31 August 2004)
